About MSPs

The world is facing enormous challenges that can only be overcome through cooperation and the involvement of various actors. In this context, multi-stakeholder partnerships (MSPs) are an innovative instrument of partnership cooperation for solving global societal problems. In the 2030 Agenda, the United Nations explicitly refer to MSPs as a method for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). But how can MSPs be defined? Which MSPs already exist and where are they active? Which stakeholder groups are involved, what can they contribute within the partnership and how can impacts of an MSP be better understood, captured and communicated?
