This year’s UN High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (HLPF) will take place in New York between July 5 and 15 2022 under the theme “Building back better from the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) while advancing the full implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development”. This year, the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 4 – Quality Education, 5 – Gender Equality, 14 – Life Below Water, 15 – Life on Land and 17 – Partnerships for the Goals are the focus of the voluntary national review process, with 44 countries presenting their implementation of the SDGs. In addition to ministerial meetings between July 13 and 15, many other stakeholders will be present at side events.
Partnerships2030, on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), will co-host Session 3 – “Transformational Partnerships: national platforms and practical tools to promote collaboration, policy integration and coherence” with the Ministry of Public Service, Labour and Social Welfare, Government of Zimbabwe, UN DESA and The Partnering Initiative (TPI). The training session will cover topics around multi-stakeholder partnerships and present good practices and tools with a case study from Zimbabwe on the topic.
On the topic of “Understanding and measuring the value-add and impact of multistakeholder partnerships”, Partnerships2030 presents the impact narrative. It is used in partnerships to describe in a structured way how the available resources can be used to work towards the intended impact of the partnership. By clarifying the impact pathway, impact levels and sphere of influence, the intended impact of a partnership and its cooperation can be better measured.
The description of Session 3 and the agenda can be found here. Registration for this and other learning and training sessions is possible here.
