How can effective collaboration be achieved in multi-stakeholder partnerships (MSPs)? And what skills are needed to make complex collaborations successful, inclusive and sustainable? The free self-paced course ‘Introduction to Leading Multi-Stakeholder Collaborations’ by Ashoka and CoCreative offers a practical and flexible learning opportunity.

The focus is on how collaboration within MSPs can be specifically designed and improved. Among other things, the course covers typical patterns of collaborative innovation, success factors for a strong culture of cooperation, approaches to inclusive and equitable collaboration, and key aspects of stakeholder engagement. Participants also reflect on their own role within the collaboration.

The course is designed as a four-week learning journey, but can be completed entirely at your own pace. Participants receive a presentation outlining the key content at the start and then work through four sequential modules, each taking around 30-60 minutes and supplemented by videos, case studies and practical exercises. In addition, the course offers insights into specific case studies and the opportunity to engage in dialogue with other participants via discussion forums.

The four modules are structured around key questions:

  • What kind of collaboration are we aiming for?
  • What phases and patterns characterise collaborations?
  • How can a sustainable, inclusive culture of collaboration be fostered?
  • What role do I personally play in the collaboration?

Format: Self-paced online course (flexible, at your own pace)
Duration: approx. 4 weeks (can be tailored to individual needs)
Access: directly via the course link

The course is a useful addition to existing training programmes offered by Partnerships2030. In addition, Ashoka regularly offers further learning formats on the topic of ‘Collaboration in MSPs’.
