Inside Partnerships2030

75 years ago, on May 23, 1949, the Basic Law for the Federal Republic of Germany was officially signed in Bonn. This year, this act was celebrated with a democracy festival on May 25, 2024. The Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development invited citizens and interested parties to the Festival of Democracy in the federal district in Bonn. Partnerships2030 was also there.

The Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) offered an extensive stage program. Various discussions on current development policy issues focused on the relevance of climate protection worldwide, hunger and poverty as well as the causes of flight and migration.

International organizations presented their work and informed interested parties about their activities and solutions. Partnerships2030 was also actively involved with an exhibition stand and presented multi-stakeholder partnerships (MSPs) as a method for jointly solving global and complex sustainable development challenges. Visitors could also try their hand at a game to personally experience the importance of cooperation in achieving goals. People of all ages approached the topic of MSPs through play and informative discussions. The interest shown by visitors in the topic indicated that collaborative teamwork is fundamental to the success of a wide range of challenges and cannot be learned early enough.
