The 2024 Partnership Forum of the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) places a special emphasis on the SDGs that will be reviewed at this year’s HLPF, among others SDG 17: Partnership for the Goals. On January 30, 2024, Partnerships2030 co-organizes a Side Event at the Forum that will explore strategies to advance SDG 17 by propelling partnerships forward and uniting for a new wave of collaboration towards all SDGs.

The event “Unite to Ignite – Accelerating the transformational power of partnerships for the SDGs and beyond” aims to translate evidence and recommendations into actionable steps. It draws upon key findings of the report “Unite to Ignite” that marked the culmination of a global campaign on the transformational power of partnerships. The event is jointly organized by Partnerships2030, the 2030 Agenda Partnership Accelerator (an initiative by the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UN DESA) and The Partnering Initiative (TPI)) and the Global Forum on SDG Advisory Bodies.

The session will specifically explore the critical questions: What are essential partnering skills? How can they be developed on a broad scale? And how can organizations be strategically optimized to foster effective partnerships?

The event will take place on January 30, 2024, from 8:15 to 9:30 AM EST. You can register here for virtual participation.
