Secretariats perform many important organizational tasks for multi-stakeholder partnerships. The Secretariat of the Partnership for Sustainable Textiles has been headed by Linda Schraml since the beginning of 2023.

After 15 years of working at the interface between the private sector and development cooperation in GIZ and other organizations, Linda Schraml is now taking over the secretariat management of the Alliance for Sustainable Textiles.

The regional science graduate has many years of experience in development cooperation, with assignments abroad in Ethiopia, Mozambique, and Brazil, among others. Linda Schraml also brings the experience in cooperation with the business community and in private sector and organizational development that is important for the secretariat position. For example, she coordinated the Global Business Network in Ethiopia and was a component officer in the GIZ program “Business Scout for Development”.

Linda Schraml succeeds Noor Nagschband as head of the secretariat, so that he can fully concentrate on his task as program manager of the GIZ project “Nachhaltiger Konsum”.

The sector project “Nachhaltiger Konsum” brings together three basic instruments of the German government for social and ecological supply chains: The Textiles Partnership, the governmental “Green Button” seal, and the “Siegelklarheit” platform. The aim of this organizational form is to create synergies and avoid duplication in the work steps.
