The Global Energy Alliance for People and Planet (GEAPP) was launched on 2 November at the COP26 World Climate Conference.

The multi-stakeholder partnership (MSP) includes the Rockefeller Foundation, the World Bank and the host governments of COP26, the United Kingdom, Italy and Denmark. The alliance has formulated ambitious goals: Supply of one billion people with renewable energy, reducing carbon dioxide emissions by four billion tons and boosting economic growth by creating more than 150 million jobs. To achieve this, the Alliance aims to unlock USD 100 billion in public and private financing.
